Angelina Jolie finds her lead Bosnian for her Bosnian movie shot in Bosnia

What's with Angelina Jolie and Bosnia? Oh, she was the goodwill ambassador for the UNCHR to the country and has visited the country frequently? I guess that makes sense.

It's why Jolie has made the country the center of her first directorial effort, but if you thought she would adopt a fake accent to play the lead, you were wrong, as she's pulled an actress from the country to do the duty.

Zana Marjanovic is Bosnian born, and has previously starred in SNOW, another film from that country. She's quite pumped about this new project, according to the AP:

Marjanovic said the screenplay was "fabulous" and she was eager to begin filming with "a great actress and humanist" like Jolie.

The story centers on a Bosnian woman who falls in love with a Serbian man, which is not allowed and I'm pretty sure a plot device that's never been used in history before... In any case, I'm curious to see what Jolie's eye will look like behind the camera, and if she's going to go all Ben Affleck on us after this.

Extra Tidbit: I wonder if this will actually have a US release.
