Today Sony Pictures debuted the new poster for ANGELS AND DEMONS on their Twitter page just days after Lionsgate became the first studio to debut official content on the microblog site. Sadly though, the poster, which you can see below, is not very good. Pretty much the opposite of this poster. It almost look like, if you zoom in close enough, that they Photoshopped Tom Hanks' face onto a stand-in's body. Not his entire head, but just his face. I dunno, something seems odd. Anyway, check it out below and while you're at it, come visit our official Twitter page.

it WILL be better than Da Vinci
I foolishly read A&D first, thinking it would be necessary to understand DVC. Instead, I loved it and then was disappointed by the inferior sequel. i doubt i'm the only one who thinks that

it will translate to film much better. fun fact. the producers of 24 originally wanted to use its plot for season 3, but dan brown didnt want it adapted to another character, and wanted the movies made with Langdon. the producer (brian grazer) agreed, and he got partner Ron Howard to come in.

the twists in A&D are much more cinematic... in da vinci, chapters ended with "ohhh.. so the history of jesus was really *****", whereas the twists in angels are very much based on plot.. without going into spoilers, there is what amounts to a giant bomb hidden somewhere in vatican city, and langdon must find it, and stop an evil society from disrupting the selection of the new pope. i dont think it would have worked with Jack Bauer, but this movie will be good. i hope.
