Another Hulk cameo?

06.09.2008

Captain America Apparently, Universal nor Marvel cares about keeping any cameos or fanboy nods in the upcoming THE INCREDIBLE HULK secret . First, they revealed the Tony Stark cameo, then they let us hear Hulk say his signature line (voiced by Lou Ferrigno, no less) and now, director Louis Leterrier revealed on G4's "Attack of the Show" that we may be seeing none other than Captain America in the film. No buried, obscured shields like in IRON MAN. The Captain in the flesh may make a cameo. Not a definite confirmation but it would make sense considering the super soldier serum, which is what transforms the Captain into the superhero bad ass that he is, is what helps turn Emil Blonsky into the Abomination. The cameo-laced smashing begins this Friday. Thanks to Bryan for the heads up!

Extra Tidbit: This should be confirmed with a TV spot that'll be released soon.

Hey Sidnik

It's not about not being able to stand on its own, it clearly does from early reviews. It's about starting something big. This is really the biggest superhero movement in film history. Honestly think about it. This is insane, and I'm not even a comic book freak, but I'm pumped up for this stuff!!!!

If insane amounts of cameos worked for Robert Altman and his films...

then dammit, why can't us fanboys have our own with The Incredible Hulk?

I mean come on guys, after this were gonna be a long ways off from the next Marvel movie, Wolverine, and even if it does have cameos, it ain't like those cameos are gonna have anything to do with The Avengers.

I's be approvin' of dis.

EH

Why do they need to keep dropping the cameos? Does the film not stand enough on its own that these are needed to get people into the theater? I am still on the fence as to whether this film will be anything special but these leaks aren't helping the cause.

I love the whole idea of having all these cameos, but I hop Cap isn't in this just the same. I'd much rather see him first in a movie set during World War II, then end it with him being frozen, and they could thaw him out in the Avengers movie...

I used to think that Captain America was the stupidest superhero. Just a guy in a suit. I also used to think that about Iron Man, but the movie totally turned me around.

Ryan Reynolds can't be cast as Captain America anyway, he's playing Deadpool remember?

One thing i still don't understand: What's wrong with you, DC? You have so many great superheroes and all you can come up with is Superman and Batman? Look at those MARVEL guys, they're on the right path! Can't wait for This HULK! And i absolutely love the cameos...a great way to make a cohesive MARVEL Universe.

I saw an advanced and Cap was nowhere to be seen. But they might be pulling a Favreau and adding the scene back in after the press release. That would be fuckin rad. And I dig McC is a fine choice. Let's see it!!

Getting better every day

I wasn't hooked on another Hulk film after the last one. Ed Norton made me a little interested. The Lou Ferrigno voice made me a little nostalgic. The Stark cameo raised me up to the point that I'd see it on DVD, but the Captain news makes it a must see ASAP for me!

Big question - who will play him????????

Reynolds or Gosling would be great. Macounahey not bad, but I think he just signed on to be Magnum P.I.

awesome

i honestly love how they're tying all of these films together. Hulk, Iron Man, the Capt... I think Marvel's on a roll when they go alone.

Can't Wait

Can not and I repeat can not wait to see this movie on friday. This movie is going to kick so much ass it's not even funny.

My top two choices for Captin America are Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds (even though he should be cast as the Flash). Do not cast Matthew McCanahey (can't spell).

3 More Days.........3.

Good news.
Plenty of cameos...just hope they dont bring back Nick Nolte and his freaky dogs from hell...now imagine that, Nick Nolte comes up to Ed Norton and says:"Norton, Im your father!"

Ummm...

If you look for it, you aren't going to see it.

That's what he was getting at..seeing a movie multiple times and noticing things you didn't notice before.

cap

it's been confirmed that the captain america movie will be based during WWII. What I'm concerned with is WHO will be cast as cap and if they keep him as the actor for the movie then that's what i'll look forward to.

BTW, this was on last week's attack of the show, c'mon guys.

I really hope this is a fake. I want the Cap movie to take place in the forties during his hayday in WWII. Then they find his frozen body at the beginning of the Avengers.

That's the way I want it done. See to it Favreau.

their's gotta be something their keeping from us untill opening night, they've already shown too much of the film's good stuff, but I think they have something up their sleeve, maybe the Capt. cameo?? I don't know we'll have to wait and see.

Uh ... I was under the impression that Cap hadn't even been cast yet? So even coming from the director, well, I'll believe it when I see it.

Maybe it is just a cameo by the actor that is going to play Captain America in a typical military outfit.

I went to a preview screening of THE INCREDIBLE HULK the other day and there was no Captain America. Maybe they left that bit out for the preview screening (but since it was so close to the release date you would think that the film would be finished by now), or maybe I just missed it entirely. But I'm pretty sure something like Captain America would be hard to miss.

I'm pretty sure my head just exploded. Let's see... skull fragments on the wall, an eye stuck to the TV, a little brain on the book shelf...

... Yep, my head exploded.
