Another Invasion poster

08.07.2007

I didn't realize the release date for THE INVASION falls so deeply into the summer (it comes out August 17) but it seems like this movie is never hitting theatres. I have no idea what to expect from it. I think all the promo art and trailers have been great, but with all the production mayhem surrounding the film and it's apparent bad buzz, I'm skeptical. Needless to say I'm looking forward to peeping some reviews. I've got some new artwork for you, the international poster, and in line with the rest of the promo stuff, I like it. It's subtle, classy, a tad creepy, and the composition is nifty. Check it out.

Actual version?

Am I the only one who wants to see the 'actual version' as opposed to what is going to be released. I think it is a travesty that studios can change well over half a movie because it "has too much talking". I want this to suck, and I want the real version to come out to DVD and be amazing. Same goes for earlier this year's The Messengers.

i have

hope for this flick. The trailer is awesome, and I hope the final product will be as well. I'm definitely seeing it.

much better

Much better than the last horrid red overlay poster that looked like someone had bloody diherrea all over Kidmans face. This one is more subtle and creepy.

DaForce

I don't find it funny. Lady's gotta work, doesn't she? And why not make it years later with appearances by old Nimoy, Goldblum, and Sutherland? Maybe Sutherland escapes and has a life like Michael Caine did in Children of Men. Maybe Nimoy and Goldblum are still arguing even though they've re-potted. That would be interesting to me.
And I'd rather see a Jaws remake w/ great special effects than an Indy Jones & His Annoying Brat Kid any day of the week. God, how I wanted him to be run over in

I have hope that...

..this movie will crash and burn.

Does anyone else find it funny that Veronica Cartwright is in both this turkey, and also in the 1978 remake of the same film?

Hey Hollywood! I have a story for you. It's about a really big Great White Shark that terrorizes a small New England beach town. I'm calling it 'Mandibles'.

welll.....a little hope is still hope, so i guess I do then.

Personally, I actually like the domestic poster of just that note better. More creepy. Add that plus the tagline of "You won't feel a thing" and it's considerably chill-giving.

A little reminiscent of her Dead Calm poster. I'm hoping for appearances by Sutherland, Nimoy, Goldblum, and I'm sure I saw Cartwright in the preview. It would be better as a continuation rather than a remake, but I doubt we're dealing with the brain-power to think that one through. Go to sleep, now.
