Another new trailer for A Good Day To Die Hard with Bruce Willis and Jai Courtney yippie-ki-yays online

Jan. 3, 2013by:

A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD is just a month away and now we have yet another trailer to sell you a seat to John McClane's next against-the-odds outing. This time, McClane (Bruce Willis) teams up with his CIA agent son, Jack (Jai Courtney) in an effort to thwart some Russian terrorists. This new trailer paints a better picture of the narrative of the film, which looks like a vibrant, bombastic entry into the franchise, much more akin to the last film in the series, rather than the first three.

Get some, Mother Russia:

Although I'm not teetering with joy for this, there's still a sense of loyalty to ol' John McClane. There's a whole lot of things I would rather see him do, but in the end I'm a fan of the series and always hopeful that they can recapture the magic that is the 1988 original, if even just a little. I was really impressed with Jai Courtney in JACK REACHER, so seeing him here is no longer an eye roll. Ultimately, I'm just gonna say it, this looks like a good time.

A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD romances your heart on February 14, 2013.

OK, look. This looks like it could possibly be an entertaining Bruce Willis actioner (and I liked Courtney in Reacher also). But it ain't....a Die Hard film. First, Live Free or Die Hard was fucking horrible. I just re-watched it over Christmas, and it sucks. Second, what made a Die Hard film a Die Hard film rather than Action Film #736465, was that McClane was an average dude, with above average courage and pluck, finding himself in tight - but very personal - situations. It was always about

Second, what made a Die Hard film a Die Hard film rather than Action Film #736465, was that McClane was an average dude, with above average courage and pluck, finding himself in tight - but very personal - situations. It was always about saving people, not averting ginormous crises. LFoDH and this one look like they should star Stallone, or The Schwarz, or Dwayne Johnson. Tossing in McClane's daughter or son doesn't make it a personal struggle. In DH, you totally buy McClane after the first scene with his wife, and when he's making fists with his toes. After that, you;re behind the guy 100%. When he drives a goddamned semi along a crumbling overpass while a fighter jet is indiscriminately murdering hundreds of innocent lives by shooting missiles into said overpass, only to then JUMP on the goddamned jet and ride its exploding carcass to the ground, it becomes clear this is not the John McClane who made fists with his goddamned toes; it's the fucking Terminator or something. Willis mostly (mostly) makes crap these days, but he still manages a good turn once in a while (Red, Looper). I'll show up to watch him do his thing, even if he's not playing John McClane. So for the love of all that is sacred, stop calling these films Die Hard Whatever. I know, I know... they only care about the extra money the word Die and Hard on the poster will bring (so a Willis vehicle opens with 30 million, instead of 15), and creative integrity is about as omnipresent in Hollywood as there are hairs on Willis' head... but I'll be taking a pass on this. Just my 2 cents.

Damn straight, I got you. Toes to fists! ;-) He really came a long way from the cursing, smoking sarcastic dude to the seemingly unstoppable ever smiling nice guy.

Looks way better than the last film, and I'm glad they cast a grown-up as his son rather than an annoying brat. But it ain't McClane. I haven't seen McClane since Die Hard With a Vengeance.

Man, this classical music sure does improve the trailer a lot.

I love action and special effects

But after a while it all looks the same. At least that certain charisma that Bruce has is still kinda all his own A Bruce Willis movie is a Bruce Willis movie. Special effects are kinda generic now, actors still make all the difference.

Dope. I'm down, regardless of the fact that it's diverted greatly for the original Die Hard. I can't waste time laboring over thoughts of what could have been, and will simply enjoy what is.

I'm in.

Looks like a good time, and the McClane boys seems to have some good chemistry, so I'll be there.

I love Die Hard but this is why I respect what Stallone does at HIS old age. He makes a 6th Rocky film and he keeps it home in Pittsburgh, within the original storyline keeping his character the same troubled man that he was years ago and seeing how he would truly be today and it's a great film. Same with Rambo. Yeah the last one was a little crazy with the action and violence but he kept his character the same and played him just as he would've been if John Rambo was if he was in that

My theory here....Bruce needs to sit down and watch the first three Die Hards and direct the FINAL Die Hard film himself.

This looks fun. I think I'm one of the few people who enjoyed Live Free, but then I don't count myself as a massive fan of Die Hard. I enjoy the series, but I won't criticize the changes cause they don't honestly bother me all that much. Bruce Willis is always fun to watch as McClane, even when he's not dropping f-bombs every minute, and the action is always entertaining. That's good enough for me. If this is better than Live Free, then I'm there.

Looks good!

Looks good! Hopefully it's R-rated. Did see one mistake! Some of those cars are being pushed to the side without even being touched by the armored truck, hopefully a production shot and not a final shot. Love the elevator scene with "Ode To Joy" playing in the background. Please be "A Good Film For Die Hard"!

Not feeling it.

McClane in the first 3 was relatable and had a sense of being able to truly die. This and Live Free or Die Hard give off a video game vibe.
Also, the PG-13 kills it cutting down the violence and language. Not to mention having John Moore (Max Payne, Behind Enemy Lines) in the directing chair.

And Skip Woods as writer certainly doesn't bode we'll for the movie either. Look at his filmography.

Its a good day to stop making die hard movies

the series deserve better directors then these mediocre ones.
Mctiernan where are you? Maybe martin campbell can do it, he already brought back life to Zorro and twice to James bond.

Looks good on the action front, however Im not that impressed with the villain just judging from the trailers.

I hope this one at least feels like a die hard movie. The last one wasn't bad, but it just felt like every other action movie Bruce has starred in lately. I REALLY wish they would have brought back his old look from the first three! He needs the receding hairline again to really help this film look like Die Hard!

John McClane is in a god tier amongst 80s action heroes...

Think about it, this one alcoholic cop with the help of untrained civilians, including his daughter, has taken down so many terrorists. His son is supposed to be an actual military trained super soldier right? Shouldn't he be able to handle anything less than a giant asteroid with a single fart? This movie will blow anyways because the asshat John Moore is directing and he hasn't made a single good movie. Now he is going to take Die Hard and fuck it up worse than Len Wise-ass did.
