Another TV spot has blasted online for the upcoming action smorgasbord THE EXPENDABLES 2, featuring all the action stars you could possibly handle for a few hours (or less).  Directed by Simon West (CON AIR, THE GENERAL'S DAUGHTER) the film has a much sleeker look than the first entry, which was helmed by Stallone.  In addition we have more of Willis and Schwarzenegger, and new additions Van Damme, Hemsworth, Yu Nan, and Chuck Norris with his beard providing some thrills as well.

Check it out:

And here's the first, extended TV spot to continue your enjoyment:

And lastly, here's the synopsis for this intricately woven tale:

The Expendables are back and this time it's personal... Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) -- with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard -- are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time - six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that's nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way....

THE EXPENDABLES 2 starts helicopter kicking you in the face on August 17, 2012.

Extra Tidbit: I seriously think they should keep making these until everyone dies. Both literally and figuratively. Why the hell not?

I think they're kinda overdoing the "I'll be back" bit there. Just my opinion.

Bad Acting and Explosions: The Movie

If they don't follow through with this being rated R there will literally be NO redeeming qualities.

Completely agree with it having to have an "R" rating. But could care less about the cheesy acting. It's not why you see a movie like this anyways.

Looks better than the first one

I didn't like the rapid-fire edits and extreme closeups of the first flick, so this looks a lot better for me. Will definitely check this out.

And is it just me, or are they only using the one shot of Liam Hemsworth? Hmmmm . . .
