Ant-Man may feature some cool Captain America: The Winter Soldier cameos

10 months agoby:

ANT-MAN is the one Marvel movie none of us can pin down. The tone, the content, the cast, everything about the movie has been in flux since Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish departed and were replaced by Peyton Reed and Adam McKay. But, one thing we do know is that Kevin Feige and Marvel wanted more consistency between ANT-MAN and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and now we may have an idea of what that could be.

Latino Review has learned what earlier drafts of the ANT-MAN screenplay included to connect it with the rest of the MCU. It is unknown if this is accurate or from which draft of the script this appeared, but it is pretty cool.

In earlier drafts of the script, Hank Pym in the first act prologue has a meeting at S.H.I.E.L.D and meets up with Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, Armin Zola, and here is a cool one...a young Alexander Pierce.

This would likely place the opening scene after the events of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER which could be anywhere from the late 1940s through the 1980s. It would also serve as a nice tie-in to the upcoming second season of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. and the debut of AGENT CARTER. But, we have no confirmation if this scene will remain in the final draft of ANT-MAN. Still, sounds pretty damn cool.

ANT-MAN is slated to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.

If that really was in an early draft, then it shows that Edgar Wright WAS willing to including aspects of the larger universe into the film, which further suggests that Marvel was probably being unreasonable, and that this film will be Iron Man 2 all over again.

I enjoy the Marvel movies for what they are. But they are by no means my favorite comic book movies. I actually like The Amazing Spider-man series the best, and part 2 is my favorite comic book movie to date, and maybe movie in the last few years. But for Marvel I think Iron Man 1, and the Incredible Hulk are the best still, and the reason is they are stand alone movies. The idea of a tied together universe was still just an idea, and no one was really even sure if it would happen. Remember

But for Marvel I think Iron Man 1, and the Incredible Hulk are the best still, and the reason is they are stand alone movies. The idea of a tied together universe was still just an idea, and no one was really even sure if it would happen. Remember Disney didn't own them, and Hulk and Iron Man were separate studios that were joining. But these movies are becoming nothing more than lets tie in as many characters to wink at the a the audience as many times as we can, and make corny jokes that when people get home and re-watch, they'll think, "that's not really that funny." And people are starting to go see these just so they can be the first to get a glimpse at what comes next in the after credit scene and be the first to say, "oohhhhhh," out loud and in their heads be like, "shit, I got to go home and look this up before anyone asks me what it's all about. " Don't pretend you were excited to see Thanos at the end of Avengers. You weren't. Because Thanos is a third rate character at best and now everyone is a f@%king expert on him. I love comics, have no clue who Thanos is. Don't give a shit.

To right sir, the amazing Spiderman gets ripped on for pretty much being one of the most comic book like films made, by that i mean its structured like a comic. Tho the idiots who hate it are the kind of morons who don't read comics but act like they know it all. I don't know how many comics end with a villain appearing then that carries over to the following issue! So to say the way they used rhino was bad is just being a moronic internet fanboy.

To cerealkiller- try the exact opposite. I enjoy the Marvel movies for the most part, but it always baffles me how they get so much praise. The Thor movies were terrible. No where near the quality of TASM2, I was so shocked when people didn't like it. So I guess on a website like this, full of hipsters, where it's cool to hate on less artsy garbage, and fun movies like Transformers, and love crap, like Pacific Rim, just because the directer is loved by the critics and fanboys (and I don't hate

But once you leave your mother basement and enter the real world where the rest of us live, and someone like me isn't scared to like something my friends might not, you're the hipster. So bite me alright.

To Deakon hahaha wow I struck a nerve, huh? haha. Trust me, I have no problem disliking movies that are popular and liking movies that are unpopular. And I am far from scared of your opinion or my friends or anyone's for that instance. Opinions aren't that special. You seem to take a lot a pride in saying the popular movies aren't as good and the unpopular movies are simply misunderstood, and that you are somehow better for believing that way. That's what makes you a hipster. Try just having

Yes, because they haven't been tying them all together from the beginning.

Yeah they have, but now its just gonna be crappy characters that everyone is going to pretend they have always been fans of.

Marvel films are so full of plot holes and just alround shit that blinded idiotic fan boys will just live before the first trailer is released.

No doubt this is gonna be one of your all time favs, get a grip.

Spoilers kind of... But based on the characters wouldn't this have to take place prior to Cap becoming Cap?

Hope this is true. Would like to see more of Howard Stark and Peggy Carter involved in the MCU Universe.
