Awesome Art We've Found Around The Net: The Big Lebowski, Blade Runner, Dredd, Zombieland

Nov. 23, 2013by: Theodore Bond

Some cliche somewhere said that 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' This has proven to be the case for me and especially when it comes to fan art. I have always sought out great fan art and have wanted to share it with as many people as possible. "Awesome Artwork We've Found Around The Net" is the outlet for that passion. In this column I will showcase the kick-ass artwork of some great artists, with the hopes that these artists get the attention they deserve. That's the aim, if you have any questions or comments, or even suggestions of art or other great artists, feel free to contact me any time at theodorebond@joblo.com.

Be sure to check out the entire gallery of Marvel & D.C. characters mixed w/ Pixar characters. The Two-Face pic is one of them. Some awesome stuff . . .

This may be one of the best weeks I have ever seen. Indiana Jones is definitely my favorite, followed by Two-Face but these are all awesome and I am a big fan of everything the artwork is based on.

Great Art this Week

the Indiana Jones one is my favorite this week!! it has such a realistic look to it, but every piece looks great this week and I'm a Batman fan so I gotta give props to the Two-Face one.

On the Extra Tidbit...

That doc looks really cool. It's about time that someone finally covered this on film. This art has been really popular for a while now.

It would definitely be cool to see what Pixar can do with a comic book based film.

That Indy piece is my favourite this week. Lifelike, beautiful, full of detail and actually poignant and emotional. Blade...Rummer? Might want to fix that typo. I do like that piece too but there's too much negative space towards the bottom. The mood of the Dredd piece, with Dredd and Anderson walking up to face their gnarly day ahead, is great too. And Mr Incredible as Two-Face is interesting and reminds me of this batch of Pixar-inspired Justice League conceptual fan art: [link]
