Awesome Art We've Found Around The Net: Blade Runner, District 9, The Lion King, The Walking Dead

04.27.2013

Some cliche somewhere said that 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' This has proven to be the case for me and especially when it comes to fan art. I have always sought out great fan art and have wanted to share it with as many people as possible. "Awesome Artwork We've Found Around The Net" is the outlet for that passion. In this column I will showcase the kick-ass artwork of some great artists, with the hopes that these artists get the attention they deserve. That's the aim, if you have any questions or comments, or even suggestions of art or other great artists, feel free to contact me any time at theodorebond@joblo.com.

*Supergirl (pretty sexy; and I like the moniker 'Maid of Might').
*Starfox poster is a good inspiration for an actual movie idea; a GOOD movie idea, not just something put out to the public all willy-nilly.
*I like the Ghostbusters poster giving a nod to Clint Eastwood's 'Unforgiven.'
*The Blade Runner looks like an actual one-sheet for the film.
*I do like the Matt Smith fanart.

Not the most conceptually challending but the Walking Dead one just oozes cool.

To this day...

...Star Fox is my favorite multiplayer video game ever. I still kick ass at it and it will always have that special place in my heart, so I would definitely buy that art. The Star Wars/TMNT artwork is sick also. The Lion King was the first movie I ever did see in my life so of course, that would be one of my all-time favorites ever posted on this site as well.

Yeah, gotta go with 2001: A Toy Odyssey. The Lego Monolith, the red power button for Hal. Inspired.

The WWII-style Supergirl Bomber Girl insignia is really great too.

Using a standard 4x2 stud LEGO brick as the monolith is an ingenious idea!
