Awesome Art We've Found Around The Net: Community, Die Hard, Mulan, Total Recall

06.01.2013

Some cliche somewhere said that 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' This has proven to be the case for me and especially when it comes to fan art. I have always sought out great fan art and have wanted to share it with as many people as possible. "Awesome Artwork We've Found Around The Net" is the outlet for that passion. In this column I will showcase the kick-ass artwork of some great artists, with the hopes that these artists get the attention they deserve. That's the aim, if you have any questions or comments, or even suggestions of art or other great artists, feel free to contact me any time at theodorebond@joblo.com.

I love this article. In fact it made me make a Deviantart account..although I am not nearly as good as these artist, nor have the right tools and resources (Mine are all done at work on line paper while being bored). Always great stuff on here!

Not nearly as good as any of these pieces of work posted on these articles, but here is my diviantART page. Lots of Batman and comic book stuff. All mostly done on a slow day at work with line paper and pencils!

The Ghost-Busters is very creative. Tomb Raider is very intense. X-Men: First Class' McAvoy & Fassebender's resemblance is Uncanny (pun intended).

Ghost-Busters wins the week with me. Tomb Raider's great too, nice to see a bit of fan art where the artist wasn't shamelessly motorboating Lara Croft. With last year's game the character might finally be making that leap towards strong female character and not porn for 12-year olds.

Also dig that Winger, Pierce, Chang, and Dean Pelton are hanging from the Batmobile's rear view like air fresheners.

Mulan, Total Recall and DIe Hard are pretty cool. This week isn't wowing me as much as previous weeks have though.

Mulan and Tomb Raider are stunning. I love how the artist who painted Mulan didn't try to make her all gritty in making her a little more realistic, and the detail (in the background as well as in Lara herself) and movement in the Tomb Raider one is mind-boggling.
