The first good look at Vin Diesel's return to genre BABYLON A.D. has arrived, and it's pretty slick. The futuristic tale from Mathieu Kassovitz (LA HAINE, GOTHIKA) is a road movie following a mercenary hired to escort a unique woman (she's missile-resistant!) to New York, a task that requires copious gunfire, car chases and eXtreme skimobiling.

The film's setting looks a bit cleaner and more hi-tech than I expected, and they're still abusing the same goddamn REQUIEM FOR A DREAM theme music from about seven hundred other trailers, but it's nice to see Diesel and Michelle Yeoh cracking some heads again. Check it in HD at IGN!

Welcome back, vin diesel!
Damn! This looks great, and that was highly unexpected. Like Transporter 3, I thought this would be an underwhelming product, but quite the contrary. At least it LOOKS highly entertaining. I will be seeing this in theaters, for sure.



But damn, do I still crave another Riddick film!

A comeback for Diesel?
Hopefully, this will be more Pitch Black and a lot less XXX then the trailer implies. I'ld love to see Diesel return in all his ass-kickery. In fact, I would just be content if Diesel never played another character except Riddick, but oh well....

Fuck what you heard or thought, Vin Diesel is the shit. TCoR (and every last canon bit of it) is my Star Wars, and though he's had some misfires, he's shown light when none was expected. I'm there, opening day.

I heard about this for a while and wanted it to be awesome. Say what you want about Vin Diesel, but he can do sci-fi. Riddick and Black were both awesome in my opinion, and this looks just as good.



Now I'm pretty fucking PUMPED for this.

Looks like my type of movie! Too bad it'll suffer the same fate as every sci-fi released these days (except the "Star Wars" and "Matrix" sequels): complete box-office failure. 'Cause, hey, if it ain't set in an [link] world, the audience can't connect. Sad state of affairs.
