Batman vs Superman casts Ray Fisher as Cyborg

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN is starting to pile on the superheros: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman… and now Cyborg!

The Zack Snyder film has just officially brought aboard Ray Fisher as half-man/half-machine Vic Stone, aka Cyborg, in the superhero epic, according to Variety. The part apparently isn't a large one, but it will indeed lay additional groundwork for the inevitable JUSTICE LEAGUE film. News of character's inclusion in the film was first bandied about back in February.

Predominantly a theater actor, Fisher is far from a household name, although he's obviously on Hollywood's radar: He's been rumored to be in contention for a STAR WARS EPISODE VII role for some time now.

Here's a quick catch-up on Cyborg, via DC Wikia:

Cyborg, also known as Victor Stone, is a superhero who is half man and half machine. His body was destroyed in a tragic accident, but he was saved through experimental technology; his body parts have been replaced with a large arsenal of high-tech gadgets and weaponry, while constantly providing life support. Stone struggles with his humanity as a machine, although his advancements have made him an unstoppable powerhouse. He has primarily been a member of the Teen Titans, but he is also a member of the Justice League of America.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN is currently filming and also stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Jesse Eisenberg. It opens on May 6, 2016.
