Behind the scenes clip of Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott discussing Robin Hood

Apr. 8, 2010by: Dave Davis

At some point, Ridley Scott's ROBIN HOOD went from a tale of the famous outlaw redistributing wealth in Sherwood Forest to a medieval epic. How and why?

Judging from what Scott, star Russell Crowe and manga-haired producer Brian Grazer have to say in this clip... they basically just felt like it. And so the scope expanded from Nottingham robberies to a sprawling war story, with the Robin Hood folklore intertwined in a truly legendary fashion.

Check out the clip below or in HD at Yahoo.

Extra Tidbit: I want to see a whole movie just about Mark Strong playing a villain of some kind.

If Green Lantern is indeed released in 2011, Mark Strong would have played 8 movie villians in the space of 5 years...impressive.

Cannot wait for this film, better be as awesome as Crowe promises.

TBH, I didn't realise Ridley was the director

Literally, 10% of his movies are awesome. The rest were either forgettable, or all-out-shit. I think I'll wait a year and rent this.

EXTRA TIDBIT: I'll bet 90% of you can name the 3 RS films I think are awesome.
