Behind the scenes look at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

07.09.2010

Last night as I was cooking (aka doing my Womanly duties), I also was watching HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE on ABC Family.

In between shucking the corn and the commercial break, a behind the scenes look for HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS came on. Immediately I had to stop what I was doing to check in with my favorite wizards.

As you might have already guessed it's a very awesome two-minute video. The cast and crew talk about the story of the two final films and warm our hearts with tales of friendship. The destruction of Hogwart's comes into play as they discuss that silly little Voldemort problem.

Get a small glimpse at the ultimate battle of good vs. evil in this behind the scenes look.

Extra Tidbit: If you've read the book, please don't spoil it for everyone else. We know you're excited, but we are too.

i'm pretty excited about this. and i'm actually happy that they are breaking it up into 2 movies. goblet of fire was short-changed in that aspect, IMO. i'm also glad that they kept the same director for the last few.

I am so pumped for this film I want to keep it at arm's length and save myself watching the BTS or clips that come out. Looks fantastic though.

This will probably be the crown jewel in the series. I'm really excited. Can't wait.

There are no words to express how excited I am for this, the trailer has me glued to the screen each time it airs, and I sat through Eclipse just for a chance to see it on the big screen. I have a really good feeling about these next two films, but I am pretty sad such an amazing series has to end. Can't wait!

I miss having each chapter being EPIC. It was like that until Yates came in for the fifth one. I really did not like the fifth one, but there was something about the sixth that I liked. I keep watching it whenever it is on HBO. Even though it was somewhat different than the book plus it seemed like the most boring.

Yates wasn't the problem. The problem is the source material. She ran out of ideas after book 4, and only knew she had to throw together 3 years of story into 3 more books to get to her "final chapter" which she claims to have written back during book 2. So blame the hack that wrote the books, not the unfortunate director slated to direct a nonsensical lengthening of this story.

Woo!

I've read the book 2 times, and i plan on reading it again this summer to refresh the epicness. But i still think its weird how they're emphasizing the battle so much when Part 2 is soo far away. Hmm...other than that, amazing!

I really hope these last two Harry Potter movies are the best Harry Potter movies. I know everyone kinda blew there load all over Half Blood Prince, but I thought it was one of the weaker adaptations. What could easily have been the most powerful movie turned out pretty "meh."

This director just doesn't seem to know how to kill characters and make it mean something. Sirius and Dumbledore's deaths were both handled very poorly.

I very much agree with you on that. In the fourth one, when Cedric Diggory died, I felt for that scene more than Dumbledore's death.
