Benedict Cumberbatch won’t appear in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII

Sorry Cumberbitches, but it looks like your favorite actor won't have a part in STAR WARS: EPISODE VII, unless of course Benedict Cumberbatch is pulling a Khan on us. The Iris was live-tweeting Cumberbatch's Q&A at the Oz Comic Con in Sydney over the weekend, and he says he would've liked a role in J.J. Abrams film, but it's just not going to happen.

Although we don't know what changes were made to the script for the upcoming film, there's a chance the part Benedict Cumberbatch may have been up for no longer exists because of the rewrites. I joke Cumberbatch might be lying to us again, however I really don't think he will have a role in STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. I'm a little disappointed, but it is what it is, and it's not like Benedict Cumberbatch isn't going to be able to find other awesome projects to work on.

During the Q&A Benedict Cumberbatch also said he'll never play Doctor Who, something many fans of the actor would love to see. Personally, I think Cumberbatch is too big for Dr. Who, and I'm glad he isn't interested in playing him.

STAR WARS: EPISODE VII will be in theaters on December 18th, 2015.
