Best Movie & TV Trailers of the Week: The Predator, First Man & more

Welcome, loyal JoBlo readers! This is Best Movie and TV Trailers of the Week, where we take the very best previews we saw over the long week and compile them all in one spot for you, just in case you were out and about navigating this mad, mad, mad world that is life. We’re nice like that.

The fall movie season is officially a go, with several big blockbusters and small Oscar contenders on their way to a theater near you. Okay, some of you smaller towns may have to wait for some of those Oscar contenders to hit Netflix before you get to see them, but for everyone else, there will plenty to choose from over the course of what should be a very busy fall season. We got new glimpses of some of those new flicks, including a badass new red-band trailer for THE PREDATOR, a look at Hugh Jackman’s next Oscar nomination in THE FRONT RUNNER, a second trailer for the highly-anticipated BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE, and a new trailer for FIRST MAN with Ryan Gosling, which deftly captures the movie’s intensity and dramatic stakes, showcasing terrific work by Gosling and Claire Foy. The next few months are gonna be sweeeeeet.

The TV front was much weaker for trailers this week, with the most notable previews being the teaser for the third season of TRUE DETECTIVE with Mahershala Ali, the trailer for Facebook Watch series SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS with Elizabeth Olsen and Kelly Marie Tran, and the teaser trailer for the ninth season of THE WALKING DEAD.
