How's this for an eclectic cast? Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh, Ashley Olsen and Lou Pucci have all signed on to star in the upcoming drama THE INFORMERS. The film is based on short stories by Bret Easton Ellis ("American Psycho") who also co-wrote the script. Set in mid-80s Los Angeles, the story highlights a number of individuals whose paths intersect over the course of a week. Thornton will play a movie studio executive; Basinger will play his wife; Routh will play a vampire (?!); Olsen will play Thorton's mistress (?!?); and Pucci will play a kidnapper. Sounds nothing if not bizarre. Gregor Jordan (BUFFALO SOLDIERS) will direct from a script by Ellis and Nicholas Jarecki. I guess the big question is that with Olsen playing a "sexually promiscuous girl" will we finally see the Olsen nudity we've been waiting for? Strangely I think that if we did, no one would care anymore. Filming on INFORMERS is expected to begin this October in Los Angeles, Uruguay and Buenos Aires.

Who's been waiting to see the Olsens naked??? I'm pretty sure no one gives a fuck. I loved, American Pyscho so i'll give it a chance.

Oh this is that film where Ashley makes out with Billy Bob (just their names alone makes it sound icky). I don't mind gimmicks in screenplays (interweaving characters) as long as it works and besides, that's like saying I've had it with linear storylines.. now that has been done to death!!!

Hey, lighten up, it's not every day one of them happens to be a vampire, and the other happens to be one half of a kiddie twin duo (seriously, I never thought they'd make a movie with just one of those girls). Oh, and it's a Bret Easton Ellis adaptation.
