Blunt joins Bureau

Check this out: A Sci-fi love story based on a short story by the indelible Philip K. Dick starring Matt Damon. I know, right? The film is called THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU and it’s just added super fox Emily Blunt to its cast. Blunt will play a ballet dancer who engages in a relationship with Damon’s rising congressman, only to find that mysterious circumstances are keeping them apart. Apparently it involves some ominous overlords who can control people’s lives at will, which reminds me a bit of Alex Proyas’ cult classic DARK CITY. First time director George Nolfi penned the script and is helming it as well, but don’t let his inexperience behind the camera dampen your mood. This is the guy who wrote OCEAN’S 12, THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM and it’s upcoming successor as well. Translation: he’s got the goods.
