Bob and Mews host a hilarious promo for Stranger Things Season 3

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

A new promo for STRANGER THINGS Season 3 has arrived, which finds dearly-departed characters Bob Newby (Sean Astin) and Mews the cat re-watching key moments from the show's second season, and coming to terms with their shared fates. As Astin holds Mews' paw, he tells the orange tabby that "facing your fears and confronting your past is the first step to healing." It's a tender moment shared between the duo for sure, and one that is sure to make fans a bit sniffly for the days when both of favorites were still making Hawkins a better place to live.

When asked to provide information about the upcoming season, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven on the nostalgia-laden sci-fi series, told Rotten Tomatoes “Why would you want bits and pieces when you could have the whole show all in one?” Brown said. “I think it’s important for the fans to know that they’re going to get the show. It’s not like we’re going to keep it from them. We’re doing it for them. We’re doing it for the fans, so I think it’s important for them to understand that our privacy on our set, our work on our set should be respected.”

What we do know about the program's next steps, is that “It’s about the swimming pool and campfires and parades and Fourth of July and fireworks,” STRANGER THINGS producer Shawn Levy told Variety at PaleyFest in March. “So there’s kind of a poppy fun to season 3 that’s really enjoyable before things inevitably turn super dark.” Brown then added her own comment by saying "Eleven has a great time with summer. That’s all I can say.”

Recently, the show has cast Francesca Reale (HATERS BACK OFF) in the role of a lifeguard working at the Hawkins Community Pool. She is expected to play a major role in furthering the mystery nestled firmly in the strange town. Maya Hawke has also been cast and is expected to enter the story as an "alternative girl." She is said to share scenes with Eleven, perhaps as one of the other gifted individuals from the defunct Hawkins facility?

Early reports about the new season also indicate that Priah Ferguson, who plays Lucas' little sister, will be bumped up to a series regular. To that end, actor Joe Keery will also be given more screen time as Steve Harrington.

STRANGER THINGS Season 3 will star Millie Bobby Brown, Cara Buono, Jake Busey, Natalia Dyer, Cary Elwes, Priah Ferguson, David Harbour, Maya Hawke, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Dakota James Alden Lane, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Noah Schnapp, Francesca Reale, Dacre Montgomery, Winona Ryder and more!
