Brad Pitt heads to New Orleans for Cogan’s Trade

News came in November that Brad Pitt would be re-teaming with his director on THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD, Andrew Dominik. People seemed happy. I was happy. Did anyone ever listen to the score for that film? It’s amazing.

Anywho, Pitt will return to New Orleans to start shooting on COGAN’S TRADE. The film is based on the novel by George V. Higgins which centers on, “Jackie Cogan, a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a high stakes poker game under protection of the mob.” Another exciting part about this film is the rumored cast. Here’s who might show up on-screen alongside Pitt: Casey Affleck, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Bill Murray, Mark Ruffalo, Sam Rockwell and Zoe Saldana. Holy shit if that’s actually true. Not only does it re-team Affleck and Pitt, but it also puts the stars of NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, Brolin and Bardem back together.

TRADE has already made a commitment to Second Line Stages and all the shooting is expected to be done in the New Orleans area. Production will begin in March.
