One of my most anticipated movies this year is David Ayer's World War II action drama FURY starring Brad Pitt. When we last showed you some images from the movie we also quoted Ayer’s saying this is “ultimate tank movie”, which makes me giddy to hear.

Here is the synopsis:

FURY is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Here is Pitt and company ready for war:

Whether FURY will have the same gritty style as Ayer's other work is yet to be seen; he wrote TRAINING DAY and directed SABOTAGE which back in March. You can bet we will be posting the first footage or trailer as soon as we have it. The movie also stars Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal and Michael Pena.

FURY opens November 14th 2014.

An Israeli film called Lebanon, which, barring the very first and last shot, is filmed entirely in a tank, will always remain the "ultmate tank movie" for me. Can't recommend that film strongly enough.

I hope it's more serious in tone, unlike the light tone and comedic elements of The Monuments Men. I enjoyed Monuments Men, but I I was hoping for a more serious tone of a film.

Fucking Wardaddy!!

Please just let that what other characters call him, and never give his real name.
