Brazilian Job talk

Charlize does the

It's already been 6 years since THE ITALIAN JOB came out, and just as long since talk of a sequel started out. Everyone on that film's been quite vague when asked about it, to a point where interest and potential are getting pretty much thin.

The folks of Coming Soon went straight to the source to find out, talking to director F. Gary Gray during his promo for LAW ABIDING CITIZEN. What he has to say kind of echoes what was said before: Definitely, Maybe.

"I think it's really just about getting the material in the right place. The energy is being put into developing a script that is just as good, if not better, than the first," the man expressed. "I loved directing that movie. It was a lot of fun, and I think people would want to hang out with that crew again and go on another ride, definitely."

The actors all said the same, that they'd love to do it, but also all went to bigger and better things. Would it even be possible to get those people back in one place? Do we still care to begin with?

Extra Tidbit: Ed Norton looked SO bored in that film I was almost sad for him.

We didn't need a remake

Let alone a sequel.
Just let it rest. FFS.

No need for a sequel. Oh yeah Ed Norton's character in the film needed a faceslap from Tyler Durden! lol

Tidbit...

Ed Norton looks bored on almost ALL of his films. Even as Banner. Banner / Hulk.... extreme passive-aggressive.

I'd rather watch Charlize get a Brazilian wax job.

That would do double the box office of the first film.

Pass.

I wasn't much a of a fan of the remake's blah attitude and terrible script (tenuous reasoning for the title, utterly stupid dialogue like "trust everyone, just don't trust the devil inside them"), so the idea of a sequel has never been particularly interesting to me. Even with those who found the film entertaining I'd doubt you'd find many people clamoring for a sequel, and with the slate Mark Wahlberg has lined up, I doubt we'd see it any time soon.

The original was a pretty fun flick that's good to kill some time on a boring afternoon but nothing more.

We definitely don't need a sequel to it.
