Breaking Bad's spinoff show featuring snarky lawyer Saul Goodman has apparently impressed the higher ups at AMC so much that a second season was ordered before the first even hit. As odd a premise as it might seem, it looks like creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are having a lot of fun with the possibilies, as evidenced by this theme song performed by country musician Junior Brown.

While initially I was hesitant to see Bob Odenkirk's character (as great as he was) receive his own show, I think they're really nailing the vibe of what will make this series sell. For the most part, Saul Goodman was never too surprised at what Walt and Jessie threw at him in Breaking Bad, and he was always trying to work out a bigger slice of the pie for himself. It'll be interesting and probably a lot of fun to see him run circles around all sorts of unsavory characters. Although this ditty is far too long for opening credits, I wonder if they'll use any portion of it for the show come next February.

Better Call Saul's first season (consisting of 10 episodes) comes to AMC in February of 2015.
