Bronte sisters cast

Wouldn’t you love to be a gopher on this set. The triple threat of Michelle Williams, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Evan Rachel Wood have just been cast as the famed English novelists the Bronte sisters, in the upcoming biopic BRONTE. No word on who is playing who, but does it really matter? All three actresses are accomplished and all three are quite, how you say, pretty. The movie is to be written and directed by Charles Sturridge for 2005’s re-imagining of the LASSIE legend.

The Bronte sisters spent their youths isolated in the moors of England, where they penned some of the most lasting titles in all of English literature, include JANE EYRE and WUTHERING HEIGHTS, and the lesser known THE TENANT OF WILDFELL HALL, by the lesser known Bronte (Anne). The film is set to start shooting this September, and is a chance for all three actresses to fulfill their requisite ‘English period piece’ roles. Williams has the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic I’M NOT THERE, Howard has the upcoming Tennessee Williams drama LOSS OF A TEARDROP DIAMOND, Wood’s got the troubled Beatles musical ACROSS THE UNIVERSE opening soon.
