Bryan Cranston continues to shine in Trumbo’s international trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It took quite some time, but thanks in large part to Breaking Bad, the world can finally look forward to Bryan Cranston enjoying some plum roles in big-screen films. TRUMBO sees Cranston taking on the role of Dalton Trumbo, a Hollywood screenwriter who found himself blacklisted after being summoned to the House Un-American Activities Committee which was trying to investigate whether Communist agents and sympathizers had been planting propaganda in U.S. films. Despite essentially being kicked out of Hollywood, Trumbo managed to produce some of his best work during this period, including screenplays for ROMAN HOLIDAY and SPARTACUS.

A new international trailer for TRUMBO and has been released and you check it out below!

Film's taking place in Hollywood, especially "old" Hollywood, are a definite pleasure of mine and TRUMBO looks like it will offer an great glimpse into an very interesting time in American politics; all well being supported by a fantastic cast which includes Bryan Cranston, Diane Lane, Helen Mirren, Louis C.K., Stephen Root, Elle Fanning, Michael Stuhlbarg, and the great John Goodman.

Official synopsis for TRUMBO:

The successful career of 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs.
