Bryan Cranston Lex Luthor Banner

Although those rumors about Bryan Cranston being cast as Lex Luthor in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE obviously didn't pan, some believe that the actor was at the very least being considered for the role, and may have been contacted by Warner Bros. and DC about possibly playing the villain. Cranston was asked about those rumors during MTV's interview with the actor at SDCC, and he says he was never in talks to play Luthor.

Not one conversation, it was all fan-driven. They're thinking, 'Who could play Lex Luthor? Who's bald who could be menacing? Oh, Walter White, we can get that guy!' So, it's like, that's not very inspiring casting…

Yeah, it wouldn't have been inspiring casting, however I think we can all agree that he would have made one hell of a Lex Luthor. But I'm definitely interested in seeing Jesse Eisenberg's take on the character, and if he's up for it, maybe Bryan Cranston will one day land a sweet comic book movie role. Is there a comic book character you think he should play?

Bryan Cranston can be seen next in Jay Roach's TRUMBO on November 6, 2015, BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
