When director David Gordon Green's HALLOWEEN sequel catches up with slasher Michael Myers forty years after the events of the original HALLOWEEN, it takes a good amount of time before Myers manages to get his trademark mask back, and the killer has multiple scenes where there's nothing covering his features. There are even some brutal murders committed before he gets his mask. During these scenes we see his head from the back and the side, but Green holds back from giving us a good look at his face.

If you've been wanting to know what Myers actor James Jude Courtney looked like on set while filming these scenes, a behind the scenes image has been posted online that gives a look at the face of his Michael Myers, complete with special effects makeup on the eye that was damaged by heroine Laurie Strode in 1978.

Courtney is looking quite creepy in the shot, but I'm glad Green chose not to show Myers' face.

In Green's HALLOWEEN, which the director wrote with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley, Jamie Lee Curtis reprised the role of Laurie Strode, who

comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Courtney and Curtis were joined in the cast by Andi Matichak as Laurie's granddaughter Allyson, Judy Greer as Laurie's daughter Karen, Will Patton as Frank Hawkins, Virginia Gardner as Allyson's friend Vicky, Miles Robbins as Vicky's boyfriend Dave, Dylan Arnold as Cameron Elam, Drew Scheid as Oscar, Toby Huss as Ray, Jefferson Hall as Aaron Korey, Rhian Rees as Dana Haines, Omar J. Dorsey as Sheriff Barker, Rob Niter as Deputy Sheriff Walker, Jibrail Nantambu as Julian, Haluk Bilginer as Dr. Ranbir Sartain, Nick McKeever as Deputy Keeve, and Diva Tyler as a caretaker. Original Michael Myers performer Nick Castle also returned to wear the mask again for one scene.
