Caine's Inception role
I'm posting this story for two reasons. First, we get a tiny glimpse at another piece of Chris Nolan's INCEPTION, which is like having a refreshing bit of water in a desert, even if it's only a drop. Second, it's an interview with Michael Caine where he manages to not say anything stupid or made up about BATMAN 3, which is a very rare occasion indeed.
Anyway, here's what Caine had to say to Empire about his role in INCEPTION:
"I play a professor who's teaching a guy science," Sir Michael told of us of his fourth Nolan collaboration. "It's Leonardo diCaprio. He's going off to do a science project and he speaks to me before he goes."
As for any more than that, Nolan has clearly learned what a large mouth Caine has.
"They wouldn't let me read the script. I only got my page. They're all very secretive!"
Though to be fair, I’m sure the rules are the same for everyone. If I had to guess, I would think that Leo’s “science project” involves the exploring of people’s minds to get information as we’ve previously heard about briefly in plot summaries, but who knows. It's INCEPTION, we probably won't have any idea what it's about until it's over. And maybe not even then.
|Extra Tidbit:||I think I'm the most curious about Ellen Page's role.|
