Cargo trailer

Space may be the final frontier, but it also makes a perfect isolated setting for a horror-thriller. While Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster were dealing with the deep space dangers of PANDORUM, Swiss filmmaker Ivan Engler was still busy crafting his own starship chills in a project called CARGO.

The synopsis: The story of CARGO takes place on rusty space-freighter KASSANDRA on its way to Station 42. The young medic LAURA is the only one awake on board while the rest of the crew lies frozen in hibernation sleep. In 4 months will Laura's shift be over.

During her daily patrols, through the eerily empty ship, LAURA begins to get the feeling that she is not alone on-board. A discovery mission in the dark and ice-cold cargo hold ends in catastrophe. The remainder of the crew is awakened. A cat and mouse game begins in which nothing is what it seems. What lies hidden in the strange freight containers and who, or what, is also on-board?

Quiet Earth has more info on the project HERE, and you can check out the trailer below.

Extra Tidbit: As long as we don't go SUPERNOVA again, I'm all for heading into space more often.

DANTE 01, EDEN LOG, and now this...

... these recent forgein sci-fi films have been pretty stellar. Hopefully this'll be as good as DANTE01 and EDEN LOG. I'm also looking forward to INHABITATED ISLAND.

About the Extra Tidbit: I think the problem with Super Nova was that it... didn't have a story. None of it made sense and not in an ambiguous 2001, Sunshine, or Solaris way, but in a "filmmakers had no idea what they were doing" kinda way.

Yep -- it had three different directors. And none of them wanted credit. I don't really blame them.
