Recently we revealed that Christian Bale was taking the lead in Scott Cooper’s OUT OF THE FURNACE.
Several actors have been circling the project and one of them is about to swoop in. Casey Affleck is the frontrunner for a role alongside Bale.
If all pans out, this is what we will be seeing: “Bale plays a guy who’s released from prison and wants only to get his life back and marry his gal. All that changes when his brother is murdered, and the mission becomes revenge. Affleck, I hear, will play the unfortunate brother.”
Originally Leonardo DiCaprio and Ridley Scott were attached, but Cooper (CRAZY HEART) took over to direct the revenge flick. DiCaprio and Scott remain on in the producing capacity through their production companies, Appian Way and Scott Free, respectively.
Really looking forward to this project. Casey Affleck is one of my favorite actors.
