Cast officially announced for J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII!

While most were expecting a grand May-the-4th announcement, Disney and Lucasfilm decided that perhaps we were being treated unfairly, and have revealed the official cast of J.J. Abram's upcoming STAR WARS: EPISODE VII!

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will star alongside the veterans of the original saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the latest entry.

J.J. Abrams also had the following to say:

We are so excited to finally share the cast of STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud

In case you needed a reminder, the screenplay for STAR WARS: EPISODE VII is being penned by Lawrence Kasdan (RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK) & Abrams. John Williams will also return as composer.
