Casting Nolan’s next

Though filmmaker Christopher Nolan makes countless fanboys weep by not immediately making a sequel to THE DARK KNIGHT, his next project seems to be coming together magnificently.

Nolan’s mysterious project INCEPTION, cryptically described as “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind,” already has Leonardo DiCaprio in the starring role. Now Nolan has drawn in JUNO kid and ex-X-Man Ellen Page, former Bat-villain Cillian Murphy (who just teamed with Page on the thriller PEACOCK), and dishy Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard, for the enigmatic brainjob.

If Nolan can round up more talent of this caliber, he’ll almost have salivating Batfans overlooking the fact that he’s not currently making Christian Bale spit and snarl (in the cowl or otherwise). INCEPTION shoots this summer with a release some time in 2010.
