Charlize Theron and David Fincher bring Mind Hunter to HBO

In a little bit of TV news today, the lovely Charlize Theron will be teaming up with the lovely David Fincher to bring us a new HBO drama series called "Mind Hunter".

The show, based off the book "Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit," by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker, "recounts Douglas' experiences as a top FBI investigator of serial killers and rapists, and the profiling techniques he developed."

Scott Buck, a producer on Showtime's "Dexter", will be writing the pilot episode. Theron will produce through her Denver and Delilah production company while Fincher, brought on board due to his experience with films such as SEVEN and ZODIAC, will executive produce the project which is said to currently be in the scriptwriting stage.

Charlize Theron will begin filming George Miller's fourth Mad Max film FURY ROAD this summer in Australia. David Fincher is currently hard at work on the Aaron Sorkin-penned THE SOCIAL NETWORK which looks to be released this October.
Extra Tidbit: What genre of film do you wish David Fincher would take a crack at? Personally, I'd love to see him do sci-fi again, but this time without the baggage that comes with working on a franchise like Alien.
