Director Edgar Wright is finishing up his "Cornetto Trilogy" with THE WORLD'S END this summer and a new trailer has debuted that also highlights the previous films in the trilogy, SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ. The trailer is most of what we've seen all ready but the first thirty seconds or so that has clips from the first two films kind of makes you realize, "Shit, this is actually happening! Finally!" Also if why the small English town seems a little off isn't obvious to you by now it's pretty clear in this trailer what's going to happen in THE WORLD'S END so some of you may want to avoid it.

"And now the world's favorite double act is back for just one more Cornetto!"

Plot:

Five friends who reunite in an attempt to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier unwittingly become humankind's only hope for survival.

THE WORLD'S END starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine and Rosamund Pike is in theaters August 23, 2013.

Definitely seeing this opening night. It's too bad theaters won't be playing Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz before this as some trilogy marathon.

Oh hell yeah!

I'd forgotten how much I loved SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ until I watched this trailer. I'm so checking this movie out ASAP!

These two and their synchronised comic timing...a lot of double acts can get grating, but it seems like Pegg and Frost never do. It's always entertaining to see them play off each other and they've come up with lots of clever and really funny stuff. I wonder how different Paul would've been if it was consciously included as part of the Cornetto "series".
