Aside from a few images, we haven't seen a whole lot from ENDER'S GAME, the adaptation of Orson Scott Card's sci-fi novel starring Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Ben Kingsley, Abigail Breslin, Hailee Steinfeld, and Viola Davis. Still, that hasn't stopped it from being an interesting project to watch. Today, the studio has released the first poster for the film, which shows off the titular character in the "battle room" where he conducts his military training to combat invading aliens.

As someone who isn't familiar with the novel, I think this looks interesting. I can't say I'm chomping at the bit for it, but with a large fanbase and solid reputation in the sci-fi community, it has potential to be a great entry in the genre. A trailer will be more telling, but so far it's looking good.

Take a look:

Here's the synopsis:

In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer.

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Enderquickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soonordained by Graff as the militarys next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, hes trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

ENDER'S GAME, directed by Gavin Hood (X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE) will debut on November 1, 2013.

Looking forward to this movie but its kind of like Apollo 13 only about 1 percent of the audience is going to go into this not knowing the ending, so they have a steep hill to climb. Imagine if everyone knew the end to 6th Sense before they saw it, it would not have been half as successful. Hope it turns out good though.
