Chevolution Poster

It’s the world’s most reproduced image. We all know the one. The fiery rebel’s black eyes clutching something in the near distance. We don’t really care what he’s looking at, or who, but we know it matters. Even if he’s staring at a tree while deep in thought, it matters. Whether the iconic image of Che Gueverra adorns the dorm room wall of a pimple-faced faux-communist or if it’s being rocked by some rapper in a music video, its primo place in our cultural lexicon is undeniable. The new documentary CHEVOLUTION examines this image and why it means oh so much to us. Here’s the poster.

Extra Tidbit: The image was snapped by Alberto Korda while Che overlooked a memorial service for the victims of suspicious explosions on a freighter at Havana harbor.
