Christensen has 3 Gems

10.02.2008

Hayden Christensen has inked a three picture deal with Screen Gems. The deal adds two more pictures to BONE DEEP, the John Luessenhop-directed crime drama that began lensing in September. The deal is predicated on his proven box office success. And this brings up an interesting question: in spite of that, does anyone actually like this guy or his movies? I think I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a film he has been in and that he is one of the weakest leading men working today.

Of course none of this has anything to do with the fact he's going out with Rachel Bilson and I'm hot for her like fat kids are for cake. Although if you think for one minute that I'm not gonna use that tenuous connection to post a picture of Bilson instead of Christensen then you are very much mistaken, sir. Very much indeed!

Extra Tidbit: I didn't see LIFE AS A HOUSE. That might be my only concession.

Weak

The only thing he was bad in was Star Wars, and any idiot can figure out that it was the writing in that case(let alone someone who writes about movies)Have you even seen anything he's been in besides Star Wars and Jumper(which wasn't that bad, take Lucas lame ass franchise off his resume and i bet you'd be saying something different about him)

"Shattered Glass"

There's a good movie with Christensen in it almost holding his own against Peter Sarsgaard. So's "Life as a House," but it's also kind of a downer, too.

See, "Shattered Glass" for his only good acting.

I like this kid pretty well, but he has always seemed out of place in the roles he takes and acts in. He stood out (not in a good way) the Star War films it was pathetic. In fact he probably was just getting the hang of that role when they finished. Seriously though he is really good in the film no one has heard of called "Shattered Glass." He plays a reporter (true story too! look it up.) Who made up his stories and went to all sorts of lengths to make them seem plausible. A really good

He's not a bad actor; he was badly directed in a high-profile film series and looked bad. So did Natalie Portman (I enjoyed the prequels, but let's be honest here) Watch the boy in Shattered Glass, and you'll see what he can really do.

life as a house

was a movie I really enojoyed but Hayden just had a supporting role and, to me, wasn't enough to decide whether or not he really is a good actor.

Shattered Glass is one of my absolute favorite movies, so I'm still willing to put a little faith in Christensen, but he needs to stop being the action hero just because he was Anakin Skywalker. He should go back to indie movies for a while and get some cred back.

Eh--

I don't mind him at all. I enjoyed his performances in Life as a House and he was very good in Shattered Glass. I think he needs to stick to indie flicks and get away from the Hollywood leading man territory. He 's nothing but a pretty face in those movies. I didn't mind him in Jumper, and I was one of the few Star Wars fans that really didn't hate his performance as Anakin. I mean, he really had NOTHING to work with.. that dialogue was awful. He convinced me enough to care, and made me

He convinced me enough to care, and made me uncomfortable sometimes with his anger. I enjoyed him as Anakin for the most part.

I vote for just low budget films.. he can not, and I repeat, can not carry a film on his own.

Meh

I'm not big on Hayden Christensen, but Lif e AS a House is just alright. I think it's a bit overrated, but it does have some redeeming qualities.

However, the one movie I thought he was VERY good in was Shattered Glass. I actually haven't watched it in a while, now that I think about it, but I remember liking the film a lot.
