City of Ember trailer

I suppose if Terry Gilliam gorged himself on Skittles and Slurpees while watching CITY OF LOST CHILDREN and then made a kids movie, it might look a bit like CITY OF EMBER.

The movie comes from MONSTER HOUSE director Gil Kenan, adapting Jeanne Duprau's book about teens racing to save a mythical city from a power crisis. The fantasy film stars Tim Robbins, prodigy kid Saoirse Ronan (ATONEMENT), Bill Murray (!!) and Martin Landau, who surprisingly is still alive.

Looks suprisingly good

Someone else beat me to what I was going to say, but it fills me with confidence that a Bioshock movie is more than possible.
This looks better than most Walden kids films.

Color me impressed!

I'm definitely giving this one a shot! It's looks visually interesting and what a great cast! Bill Murray and Tim Robbins (think I saw Toby Jones in the trailer as well)!

surprisingly entertaining

My first impression of this film was that it was for children. Looking at this makes me think differently. The trailer actually makes it look damn awesome!
