Clooney's Oscar picks

I usually donít put much weight into Oscar pools, partly because I never win anything and partly because Iím never in any. But this year is different. This year, if I win the Oscar pool Iím in, thereís an iPhone in it for me, and thatís kind of a big deal. The week before the Oscar ceremony, all the experts weigh in with their pics, and while there are several sure things (Daniel Day-Lewis) other races arenít as clear. This year, while there are many opinions to consider, I think Iíll go with the sexiest. Time.com has given us George Clooneyís Oscar picks, which is odd considering heís up for a Best Actor award and his film MICHAEL CLAYTON and costars are also up for awards. But in true Clooney fashion, he is honest and candid, so if you want to check them out, head HERE. No big surprises really, but a good read nonetheless.

casey affleck, since he was amazing this year and was snubbed for best actor in gone baby gone, and also because bardem has basically already won this award, with everyone loving no country so damn much (i was disapointed)

confused...

I'm confused, because he clearly supports Marion Cotillard, yet the photo of his choice is Julie Christie...huh?

I actually think Amy Ryan qualifies as a dark horse, since most people are of the mind that Blanchett's gonna win. Another for me is Hal Holbrook, and "Once" for Best Original Song.

I can definitely respect that...I'm glad he didn't just over praise Michael Clayton all the way...

Julian Schnabel for Best Director, first one since 1929 to do it without a Best Picture nomination. Also, Marion Cotillard for Best Actress. Yeah, she won the Golden Globe, but she's up against everyone's favorite quirky teenager and an old woman playing an old woman dying of Alzheimers, so I think Cotillard counts as an underdog.
