Colbert & Spidey

7 years agoby:

Fake political pundit Stephen Colbert may have lost the bid for the presidency in our universe but in the Marvel universe, his presidential campaign is going strong and he apparently ranks very high among extra-terrestrials and super-powered mutants. And in an effort to expand his reach even further, he'll be teaming up with our favorite neighborhood Spider-Man in an upcoming issue to presumably fight crime and offer bloated, self-important fake opinions on the current political landscape. MTV's Splash Page recently got ahold of the cover for the issue and one of book's pages. Click through to check them out big-sized.

Extra Tidbit: Spidey has also teamed up with Howard the Duck, Dracula and the original SNL cast.

Geez.

That's funny as all hell. I didn't know that tidbit about the SNL cast - very cool.

Hey, REBELO - When say John Stewart, do you say Jo-eitch-n, or are you using a French pronunciation with a silent H and just saying Jon?

re: rebelo

He doesn't spell the "T" in his name because it's a french name. In most french words and names, if the last letter is a "T", it's a silent one.

After "One More Day" I think Marvel is just trying to recapture that audience they lost by trying to constantly be in the news. I will be waiting for the issue that is sure to hit stands in a year or so that says "One More Day" never happened and that all the BS was just some kind of mental dream cooked up by some Goblin chemical that Spidey ingested. Back on track, Marvel!!

Oh um... Something risque...

Stephen Colbert can web me anytime?
