Colin Farrell and Marion Cotillard to star in Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis

We were quite surprised yesterday by the news of Colin Farrell nabbing the part of charming vampire neighbor, Jerry Dandridge in the FRIGHT NIGHT remake.

Now it seems Farrell has gotten himself another role with the absolutely beautiful Marion Cotillard. The two will star in David Cronenberg’s COSMOPOLIS, an adaptation of a novel of the same name by Don DeLillo.

COSMOPOLIS is a thriller about a multimillionaire on a 24-hour odyssey across Manhattan. Farrell plays an asset manager that loses all his wealth in just one day. Cotillard is taking on the role of his wife.

The film will be shot after Cronenberg finishes A DANGEROUS METHOD, formerly known as THE TALKING CURE. The film chronicles the friendship of Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender) and Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen) until a woman (Keira Knightley) destroys everything.

The wait will be a bit, COSMOPOLIS should begin production in March 2011 since TALKING CURE starts up this month.

Oh Marion…
