Comic-book two-fer: Get a new look at Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine and Henry Cavill in Man of Steel
What's that, you say? I can't mix Marvel and D.C.? Well, you may be right, but I'm tossin' 'em in the blender today so you can get a double dose of awesome all in one shot. Both pics come courtesy of Empire and offer a solid new look at each character. First up is a new shot of Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine in director James Mangold's upcoming THE WOLVERINE, which takes our favorite adamantium claw-wielding mutant to Japan where he'll face off against the likes of Silver Samurai, Madame Viper, and a whole lot of ninjas. It feels like we haven't heard much of anything from camp Wolverine in a bit, but Mangold said we could expect to see a trailer "soon." How soon is anyone's guess, but until then, take a gander at this "suited up" Wolverine to pass the time.
THE WOLVERINE is slated to hit theaters on July 26, 2013.
Next up is another new shot of Henry Cavill in the newly redesigned Superman outfit for director Zack Snyder's MAN OF STEEL. Cavill certainly looks the part and wears the costume well, so hopefully he'll be able to act the part as well. I was super (natch) impressed with Cavill in THE IMMORTALS and felt that he could absolutely bring the intensity and "boy scout" charm of Smallville's favorite son. Co-starring the likes of Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon, and Laurence Fishburne, MAN OF STEEL seems to be the movie to beat this year. I'm anxious as hell just to see if it can live up to the hype.
MAN OF STEEL takes flight on June 14, 2013.
|Extra Tidbit:||Fine, fine, fine. Who would win in a fight between these two?|
