Karl Urban has been one of my favorite actors for quite awhile, yet even I was a little apprehensive regarding his latest feature film DREDD. Thankfully, the film opened Comic Con and it rocked! It is ultra violent, bloody and filled with action (read my full review HERE). Thankfully we had the pleasure of sitting down with Karl and talking a bit about DREDD, audience reaction and how he wouldn't have done the film had they wanted him to take off the helmet. Not only is Mr. Urban a talented actor, he is also one of the coolest guys at Comic Con. DREDD opens September 21.

I really like it when actors/actresses give heartfelt / down-to-earth interview like this. And in this case, Karl Urban looks like a cool guy to hang out and have a drink with. Go Karl!

wat?!

Karl Urban is from New Zealand? I never knew that. The accent shocked me, because I've always seen him in films where he completely eliminated the accent. A very talented man he is.

Good interview, he seems like a great person who genuinely wanted to deliver a quality Dredd to audiences. My friend and I had a joke about the role of Dr Bones: first it was DeForest Fire, now it's Urban Arson!
