Today, Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot jointly announced the complete cast for OVERLORD, a war drama from director Julius Avery (SON OF A GUN).

Joining the previously announced casting of Jovan Adepo and Wyatt Russell, the film will also star Jacob Anderson (GAME OF THRONES), Dominic Applewhite (THE KING’S SPEECH), Pilou Asbaek (GAME OF THRONES), Iain de Caestecker (Marvel's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.), John Magaro (THE BIG SHORT), Mathilde Ollivier (THE MISFORTUNES OF FRANCOIS JANE), and Bokeem Woodbine (FARGO). Written by Billy Ray (CAPTAIN PHILLIPS) and Mark L. Smith (THE REVENANT), this Bad Robot production will be managed by J.J. Abrams and Lindsey Weber.

In regard to the film's plot, OVERLORD takes place on the eve of D-Day, a group of American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success. But as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation.

OVERLORD is set to begin filming this May in the U.K.
