It's that time again: we're about to give the ol' 1-2 knockout punch to another tired cliché with the latest episode of AITH KNOCKS OUT HORROR CLICHES, and this time we're taking the old familiar tune "The Car Won't Start" to the mat.
This is a worn out cliche that has driven a lot of us nuts over the years. We all know this one and we know it well. Why won't these cars ever work when the characters need them to? I guess these horror films are trying to tell us that if we're ever in a perilous situation the last place we should try to find an escape is behind the wheel of a car. And as our main man Mike Bautista points out, it never seems to matter what kind of car it is (new, old, reliable, or rusty), they never wanna fire up when you need it most. If you're in danger and you hop in a car, it just ain't gonna work.
We're sick of seeing this cliche so we're gonna knock it out below.
