Cool Videos: A group of guys are forever changed after seeing Spring Breakers

Mar. 26, 2013by: Paul Shirey

So, I was supposed to go see SPRING BREAKERS yesterday, but mother nature and all her bitchy ways kept me indoors while a snowstorm blew away all hopes of leaving the house.  But, I will not be deterred!  I will see James Franco acting all gangsta with hot former Disney chicks in bikinis with guns, directed by the guy who wrote KIDS! I need to see this debauchery.

However, I'm hopeful that my experience doesn't unfold like the guys in this Funny or Die video, who take some very dark turns in recreating the SPRING BREAKERS experience after seeing the film. It's a well shot and funny video and even features a B-list guest star.  Having not seen the film, I am going to take a stab that a lot of the events unfolding here are meant to mirror those in the film to an extent.  It's still pretty funny either way and makes ample use of the Skrillix soundtrack.

Spring Break y'all:

SPRING BREAKERS is currently in theaters.

Also, this...

Extra Tidbit: How many times have you seen the same movie in a single day at the theaters? I don't think I've ever surpassed twice.

Finally saw it

Starts off really good. It has a lot of good commentary about the tradition, but once Gomez leaves the film it just nosedives into a pretentious mess.

That is true, I hated all the Voice Overs and I kept waiting for her to come back.

Lol, the video's great. Didn't care for the movie though. I liked the style, but the film seemed to be devoid of any real meaning, and it was very obvious that the director was trying to say something. A lot of people are reading into it pretty heavy, but the film came across as a pretentious collage of images and erratic behavior. Not really understanding the praise it's getting.

Tidbit: A few of my all-time favorites I went to see 3 times in 1 day: Sleepy Hollow (1999), The Matrix (1999), Star Trek: First Contact (1996), Fellowship Of The Ring (2001), Minority Report (2002), X2 (2003), The Dark Knight (2008), Star Trek (2009) & Skyfall.

w/ the exception of The Matrix & Sleepy Hollow...all of those were midnight showings w/ friends & fans & then 2 more on opening day.

"Spring Breakers" definitely is not for everyone. It's sometimes aimless, sometimes frustrating, but always captivating, it's beautifully shot, bumps a great soundtrack, successfully satires the moronic spring break getaway, and Franco kills it.

I've seen two movies twice in one day, and one of them I'm incredibly embarrassed about. Saw "Star Trek" twice, which I loved. The other one, sad to say, was "Spider-Man 3." I was going to the midnight show, and I promised my sister I'd take her to

I was going to the midnight show, and I promised my sister I'd take her to say it later on Friday, because I thought "I loved the first two, how could this suck?" ...I was wrong, and I kept my promise and suffered through it again.

I try to save the "P" word for a special film where it really deserves it. This is the first film since...I don't know how long that I can honestly is PRETENTIOUS. Don't buy into the 70% on RT and don't buy into the "film experts" claiming it's a "bold new film." It is a mess that is only there to try and find a deeper meaning, whereas Korine was just shooting vaginas for an hour and a half.

Deeper meaning or no deeper meaning its the coolest, badass, most fun film of the year so far and Franco's performance will go down in cult history next to Gary Oldmans in True Romance
