Cool Videos: An hour-long chat with this year's top directors

I'm already sick of awards season and it's barely just begun. We've got a long way to go before this whole ugly, political campaigning is over but if through all of that, we get a couple of cool videos like this, I'll be OK.

As they do every year, the Hollywood Reporter collected some of the most talented directors and Jason Reitman to discuss their films. This year they present an hour-long chat with Bennett Miller (MONEYBALL), Steve McQueen (SHAME), Mike Mills (BEGINNERS), Alexander Payne (THE DESCENDANTS), Michel Hazanavicius (THE ARTIST) and Reitman (YOUNG ADULT) to talk about their craft, their films and more.

THR promises more videos like this for actors, actresses and writers and we'll post them as they become available.

Juno, Thank you for Smoking, and Up in the Air. Are you kidding me? He is certainly better then most directors of this generation.

Good video indeed. But to me, none of these people are the best of the year. That goes to Refn. Would've liked to see him in this roundtable.

My thoughts exactly. Where is Refn? If they are doing the [link] round table, they have to get Refn in there!!! He won the Best Director at Cannes for fuck sake.

As much as I love to see a writer's personality within an article, I'm noticing a huge amount of negativity on Joblo at the moment. I come here as I do like an alternative view to my other film sources, but to constantly have someone making small unnecessary jabs towards certain projects/directors is becoming a little obnoxious.

Rather than putting aside your personal distaste and informing me of what I want to know. I feel like I'm having someone else's opinion forced down my throat. I

" As they do every year, the Hollywood Reporter collected some of the most talented directors and Jason Reitman to discuss their films."
Is it just me or are you guys not calling Jason Reitman one of the "most talented directors" because last I checked, he was 3 for 3 with 3 bloody fantastic movies and a fourth that looks damn good on the way.

I logged on to say the exact same thing. He is actually one of the few of his generation who actually understand what it is to direct a movie.
