Cool Videos: Hilarious Siskel & Ebert Outtakes

Dec. 30, 2013by:

I miss those lazy afternoons when we had only two channels, and I got wrapped up in watching SISKEL & EBERT. The pair had a terrific dynamic which is perfectly displayed in this video of outtakes from the 1980s.

Here we see the guys doing promos for the show then it quickly turns into hilarious bickering (and not so playful), jabs at what happens when either enters a McDonalds, and playful religious/social commentary. The word "f*ck" is dropped more than a few times so if you someone in your home who is sensitive to that kind of language you might want to put on headphones.

I guess it's part of being a critic. I'm speaking as one.

These guys are awesome

They're very close friends and when you've been friends for such a long time sarcasm in humor comes naturally, nobody's being mean here. They're fucking around.

This vid's been around for a while

but it's still hilarious to watch. I suspect they fought like hell on set, then went out for a few beers and had a great time. I always liked those guys; they critiqued a film on what it was trying to do ,not being elitist. RIP, Siskel and Ebert.
