Cool Videos: Jason Segel and Paul Rudd slappin' da bass with Rush

I can't say I ever thought I'd see the return of Peter and Sydney after the I LOVE YOU, MAN credits rolled, but thanks to the magic of Funny or Die, here they are.

Jason Segel and Paul Rudd are back as the bro-love duo, who have managed to secure backstage passes to their favorite band's show. Rush themselves actually show up for the bit, which probably could have been an alternate ending to the movie, and everyone debates the merits of what an "all-access" pass actually means.

Check out the video below, and if it gets to 2 million views the studio has promised to greenlight a sequel. Just kidding, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm not usually one for sequels but I'd totally welcome a followup to I Love You Man. One of the best comedies in the past few years.

neat! Does RUSH still do the Three Stooges cartoon at the opening of their current shows? Haven't seen them live since the "Vapor Trails Tour" 2002. Awesome musicians!

They've actually done a few reboots since the Three Stooges opening. On the Snakes & Arrows tour, it was a cartoon of the South Park characters playing Tom Sawyer, which led to Rush opening with TS and the intro/outro was hosted by Jerry Stiller doing some funny remarks at the expense of the audience. On the R25 tour, they used the same Jerry Stiller footage and recycled some of the clips from Vapor Trails, like the cartoon dragon accidently burning his Rush tix with fire breath. For the Time

For the Time Machine tour, they filmed an all new opening with a fake band called Rash that is playing various alternate versions of real Rush songs. It leads into a time travel montage of what it would be like to change Rush's style and lyrics album by album. The stage was dressed like a time machine so the setting played well with the film. Then they closed the TM tour with the Siegel/Rudd video above.

I'm glad this finally hit the web in a non-bootleg format. They played this at the end of the Rush concert I attended last June. Awesome!!!!!!!

Sweet!

I literally watched this movie last night (not for the first time). Love this movie and I do hope they make a sequel.
