A group of kids from New England recently filmed a shot-for-shot remake of the trailer for 1984's GHOSTBUSTERS, and it's pretty awesome. The middle schoolers are involved with a nonprofit organization based out of Massachusetts that teaches young people to tell stories through film called Raw Art Works, and I think they did a great job with their recreated trailer. The kids used GHOSTBUSTERS audio and the soundtrack for their trailer, but one big difference compared to the original is the Ghostbusters are played by girls.

My question is how long have they been working on this, and did Paul Feig steal their idea for his GHOSTBUSTERS reboot? I'm only (half) kidding, but these kids deserve a lot of credit for their very creative remake of the GHOSTBUSTERS trailer. You can check out the video below, as well as a side-by-side comparison.
